Who is responsible

Josef Meruna is the Site operator and data controller, acting as a private individual under the brand North Coast Property Care & Repairs.

Information used for enquiries

We use your name, phone number, email address if provided, property location, selected service, message, any photos you choose to send, the language of your enquiry and your privacy acknowledgement. Name, phone, property location, service and message are required so we can understand and respond to your request. Email and photos are optional.

Photos should contain only information relevant to the requested work. Please do not upload ID documents, bank details or other unnecessary sensitive information. Avoid including people or third-party personal information unless necessary and you are authorised to share it. Image files may also contain embedded metadata.

Purpose and lawful basis

We use this information to assess your request, ask follow-up questions, discuss availability and prepare a quotation. Where you ask about a possible service contract, processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). For other enquiries and proportionate security or abuse prevention, we rely on legitimate interests in responding to correspondence and protecting the Site (Article 6(1)(f)). The checkbox acknowledges this notice; it is not marketing consent. We do not use enquiry details for newsletters, advertising or automated decisions.

How information is handled

If the online form is available, the information and photos are sent over HTTPS to the server-side function hosted by ChatGPT Sites and its hosting infrastructure. The function validates them and passes them to Resend for email delivery to tbc@northcoastpropertycare.com. Our Site code does not create a submissions database or deliberately log message contents. The hosting provider may process technical access and security logs. Temporary abuse-prevention records in our function expire after 10 minutes.

Resend processes the message, attachments and delivery records; the Webglobe mailbox stores the received email and replies. Resend states that email and log data is normally retained for 30 days on standard plans, with a separate backup lifecycle. Resend processes data in the United States and describes contractual transfer safeguards in its Data Processing Addendum and GDPR information. The controller is responsible for the applicable provider agreements. No online submissions are accepted while delivery is unavailable.

Photo previews stay in your browser until you submit. We do not save form entries in cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage. If you contact us directly by email, phone or WhatsApp, the relevant communications provider also processes that communication under its own terms. Photos are not published as marketing material without separate permission.

Retention

For enquiries that do not become jobs, correspondence and photos are deleted within 12 months after the last contact. If a job is agreed, relevant information becomes part of the service record and the applicable retention arrangements are explained with that agreement. Information may be retained longer only where needed for a legal obligation or a specific legal claim; unnecessary material is removed. Provider security logs and backups follow their own retention cycles.

Your rights

Contact Josef Meruna using the email or phone above to request access, correction or deletion of your data. Depending on the circumstances, you may also request restriction or portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Rights may be subject to lawful exceptions. We normally respond within one month and may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity; please do not send ID documents with an initial request.

You can complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection or another competent supervisory authority.
